The Reef Club Resort  recently announced that it has signed a franchise agreement with Wyndham Hotels to become the first Wyndham resort in Cozumel. Under the new franchise the Reef Club will now be known as the Wyndham Cozumel Resort and Spa. As part of the change, the resort will undergo a major investment renovation project to upgrade the facility to match the quality of standards and excellence synonymous with the Wyndham brand.

Nine Million Spent on Upgrades!

The Reef Club in Cozumel has been completely updated with over 9 million dollars worth of upgrades. Updates include all rooms, restaurants, main lobby, public areas, landscaping, Food & Beverage service, sports equipment, and more.

 

The resort has also been divided into sections. The first section is for the general public.

This section now offers four different room categories:

 
  •   Caribbean Rooms = standard rooms with specific view (garden or pool)
  •   Ocean View Rooms
  •   Ocean Front Rooms
  •   Honey Moon Rooms

 

The second section is for Reef Regency members or their guests.

Rooms in this section include.

 
  •  Studio Rooms (Ocean Front or Pool/Garden view available) Rooms include 1 king and a double sofa bed , air conditioning, ceiling fan, dining table and chairs, kitchen appliances, coffee/ tea maker, microwave, hairdryer, balcony or terrace, satellite television, telephone, safety deposit box, dressing area and full bathroom with tub/shower. There is no separation wall between the bed and sofa in this category. The rooms also include a restaurant exclusively for guests staying in this area.
 
  •  Junior Suite (Ocean Front or Pool/Garden view available) Rooms include a king size bed plus a sofa bed, air conditioning, separate bedroom with ceiling fan, Terrace or Balcony with private Hot Tub/Jacuzzi , coffee/tea maker, telephones, hairdryer, mini fridge and bar, kitchenette, dining table and chairs, living area, satellite television, telephone, safety deposit box, and full bathroom with shower and tub. Junior Suite rooms are located in the newly designed north part of the resort, between the diver center and the regular hotel rooms. These units are decorated in a Mexican Caribbean style, with only 4 rooms per floor to offer a little extra privacy. These rooms have ocean view and pool views, separation wall between the living area and the bedroom and a separate swimming pool and restaurant for exclusive use of the guests staying there.
 This section is for Reef Regency members only but guests are welcome to reserve these rooms as long as they have a RRVC guest certificate.

Update: More upgrades are on the way after Wyndham  Hotels announced it has signed a franchise agreement with the Reef Club in Cozumel.
